Geneva Crank, daughter of the late Elva Fisher and Katie Jackson Fisher, was born on January 11, 1923 in Aid, Missouri and departed this life on May 29, 2019 at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 96 years.
Mrs. Crank was a member of First Baptist Church in Dexter and she enjoyed reading her bible every day. Geneva was a homemaker and she loved to sew and decorate eggs. She made jewelry from beads and was known as the Bead Lady at the nursing home.
On June 13, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was united in marriage to John Alvin Crank. Mr. Crank preceded her in death on October 4, 1996.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Wayne Crank of Laguna Beach, California; by her daughter, Linda L. Seier and her husband A. J. of Dexter, Missouri; by her brother, Jimmie Fisher of Michigan; by four grandchildren, Mark Edward Holifield, John Todd Holifield, Matthew D. Holifield and Amber Dawn Harris; and by six great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Dennis Crank.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
