Katie Lynn Parsley, 39 of Puxico, Missouri, left this earth for her heavenly home on Monday, February 4, 2019.
Katie is survived by parents Edward and Peggy Parsley, fiance Michael Keena, sisters Kathy (Clay) Faries, and Kendall (Mitchell) Tilley, all of Puxico. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews Allison, Molly, and Landon Faries and Sadie, Elijah, and Sara Tilley of Puxico; and Grandmother Doris Thompson of Dexter, Missouri, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Katie was preceded in death by grandparents Donald and Mary Lou Parsley of Puxico, and Gilbert Thompson of Dexter, Missouri.
Katie was a member of Duck Creek Baptist Church and was known for her love of the Lord. Often labeled as a “beautiful soul,” Katie loved Jesus, her family- especially her nieces and nephews, decorating for the holidays, and listening to gospel music.
Today Katie would want us to celebrate her life and legacy of her joy of loving the Lord.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Duck Creek Baptist Church in Puxico, Mo. A funeral will be conducted on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Duck Creek Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the American Juvenile Diabetes Association.

Thank you all so much for your loving words and kind thoughts about our precious Katie and for our family. Katie was kind to and loved so many people, and to say that she’ll be missed is a great understatement. She was indeed a beautiful soul, and it’s a blessing to see your remarks and know that she impacted so many lives in the same manner that she did ours, and that is with love, courage, humility, and joy. Thanks to all!
Please know you are all being prayed for now, and as often as the Lord brings you to mind.
I am so very sorry at your hearbreaking loss! At a loss of words. Im Praying to give your entire family strength to carry you all through now and all days to come.

So very sorry for the loss of Katie.. She was such a beautiful person and will be greatly missed. Love and prayers to your family…RD and Renee Stuart
I remember the first time I met Katie at Duck Creek through pastor Dean Medlin and his beautiful wife Barbara. Katie and I became great friends and every time I came back to Missouri to visit the Medlin family, I would always ask to see Katie. We were prayer partners, and pen pals till I lost track of Katie. She always held a very special place in my heart. I asked her one time What I could bring her from Wisconsin, her words were a Wisconsin t-shirt, and my beautiful smile… Katie I know you suffer no more, I will always remember your beautiful smile. And
No matter how sick you were you never complained. Love your sister in Christ Patty in Appleton, WISCONSIN
I don’t know where to start to express the loss I know you all are going through. Katie was such a specia lady. I loved her smile and always a kind word for everyone around her. Katie is such a good example on how we all should love Jesus and prepare for our special day when we are called home. Love and will miss you Katie!
