Rebel Floyd Morgan

            Rebel Floyd Morgan, daughter of the late Burlos Floyd and Helen L. Nolan Floyd was born on July 7, 1943 in Hayti, Missouri and departed this life surrounded by her family on December 3, 2018 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 75 years.

            Rebel was a former employee of the Gates Rubber factory in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and was a resident of Dexter. She loved to cook and passed that passion on to many of her children and grandchildren. Her kitchen was always open to anyone who walked through the door.

            Rebel was very proud of her family, especially her grandchildren, and would talk about them to anyone that would listen. Rebel loved the holidays and family get togethers; any chance to spend time with family was important to her. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by many.

            On May 9, 1959, she was united in marriage to William Morgan in Caruthersville, Missouri.  Mr. Morgan preceded in her death.

            Survivors include: two sons, Donald Morgan of Farmington, Missouri and Rondall Morgan of Dexter, Missouri; two daughters, Carla Ide of Barnhart, Missouri and Darla Morgan of Dexter, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. 

            Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Floyd.

            Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.  Memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.
