Charles Edward Stanfill

            Charles Edward Stanfill, son of the late Johnie R. Stanfill and Lizzie M. Trammel Stanfill was born on December 8, 1933 in Bernie, Missouri and departed this life on November 6, 2018 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 84 years.

Mr. Stanfill was a Veteran in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter for Tyler Pipe Industries in Tyler, Texas. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas and was currently living in Dexter, Missouri.

Survivors include: one son, Tony Myrick of Dexter; two daughters, Derenda Underwood (Rick) of Dexter and Charlene Heflin of Dexter; seven grandchildren, Heather Greer, Heath Hunsaker, Dylan Heflin, Justice Heflin, Devin Myrick, Tracy Dawson and Chris Waters; seven great-grandchildren, Emily Smith, Layken Smith, Baron Greer, Symphony Hunsaker, Sebastian Hunsaker, Victoria Hunsaker and Emma Myrick.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Victoria Lee Waters, one brother, Cletus Board and one sister, Shirley Smith.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2018 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Blake Brown officiating.  Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.
